My time @ University of Hertfordshire (& UHSU)

The beginning

Started University Hertfordshire on September 29th doing BSc Computer Science. Since I have started I have found University of Hertfordshire to be one of the best places to be. Its very quiet during the day and exciting during the night because of the campus nightclub and bar (The Font and EleHouse).

Also I have become very involved extra activities. I have been and still am designing and building loads of websites. Websites done already are CRUSH 1278AM, UnionTV, Psychology Society, ISA Awards and RaG. These have all been done under my UHSU title "WWW Director", and because of this I sit on the Student Council and dictate how websites should look, work and run on behalf of all of the Universities students as there the ones who have to use these sites.

And believe it or not I am still on top of my work load so I think there maybe room for more things to fit into my schedule, but who knows.

Crush Radio

Since I joined UH in 2008 I have been involved with Crush Radio, which has undergone alot of changes since the start. New studio software, new website (thanks to moi), new society team, loads.

My show was moved around alot in one year but a regular slot of Saturday between 15:00 and 18:00 was a excellent time for a radio show. During my shows there was the top 40 tunes, competitions and absolutely everytime a hardware failure!

UnionTV

UnionTV started in 2008, and has been going strong ever since. New site was launched in January 2009 (thanks to moi again) allowing videos done by students within UHSU to be watched by everyone on one site! This site was then redeveloped further in 2009.

UHSU Student Web Director

UHSU Student Web Director should be a job. More time was spent doing this than was doing actual University work! In this position so far Crush Radio, UnionTV, Psychology Society, RaG, Universe and ISA have had websites done by me. A full portfolio can be found under the Portfolio section of my site.
